CMEF 2026: Angell Technology’s Vision Delivered

SHANGHAI, China — April 9-12, 2026 — Angell Technology, a global leader in digital radiography, made a landmark appearance at the 2026 CMEF. Centered on the theme “New Dimension of 3D, New Life in Motion,” the company officially launched Nirvana, the world’s first dynamic long-base full-body skeletal 3D diagnostic system, alongside six other innovative products spanning mammography, mobile DR, and C-arm categories.

The Dawn of “Nirvana” in Skeletal Imaging

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of Nirvana, a breakthrough system designed to capture full-spine and lower-limb 3D images in a standing, weight-bearing position. Equipped with Angell’s proprietary 120cm full-frame dynamic flat-panel detector, Nirvana covers the entire spine and limbs in a single exposure—eliminating the need for image stitching.

Key technical advantages include:

  • Efficiency: Scanning completed in just 25 seconds, a 4x increase in workflow efficiency.

  • Low Dose: Utilizing sparse-angle reconstruction technology, the radiation dose for spinal scans is reduced by 50% compared to traditional DR stitching, making it ideal for frequent follow-ups in adolescent scoliosis patients.

  • AI Intelligence: As the first weight-bearing CBCT system to integrate nearly 200 measurement parameters, it generates structured clinical reports in just 15 seconds.

Clinical Excellence and Ecosystem Innovation The launch ceremony featured a prestigious lineup of industry leaders, including Professor Ma Xinwu (CSIT), Professor Gao Jianbo (Zhengzhou University), and other esteemed experts from Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

“Nirvana represents a shift from 2D diagnosis to 3D clinical planning,” stated Dr. Zheng Han, Co-General Manager and R&D Director at Angell Technology. The system supports precise 3D Cobb angle measurement, pre-operative orthopedic planning, and post-operative assessment for conditions like osteoarthritis and hip dysplasia.

A Diverse Portfolio for Global Healthcare Following the keynote, Angell Technology showcased six additional products tailored for diverse clinical scenarios:

  • Lingqiong–Ceiling-mounted Dynamic DR: The world’s first low-dose multi-functional full-frame dynamic DR.

  • Hua 3D Pro–Digital Mammograpy: High-resolution mammography featuring 50° wide-angle DBT and spectral imaging.

  • Epoch X–Mobile DR: The world’s first mobile functional DR, designed for ICU and orthopedic bedside imaging.

  • Talent 2: An award-winning (Red Dot & IF Design) multi-functional gastrointestinal system with LF-TOMO technology.

  • Zhiji–AI Spine Health Examination Vehicle: A specialized mobile screening solution for adolescent scoliosis.

  • Yuehua–Mobile C-arm: A modular, high-heat capacity dynamic imaging system with AI-optimized exposure.

Looking Ahead From 2D to 3D, and from static to dynamic, Angell Technology is building a comprehensive precision imaging ecosystem that covers screening, diagnosis, and treatment. The company remains committed to driving innovation that moves precision imaging from top-tier hospitals to primary care, ensuring that low-dose, high-accessibility technology benefits patients worldwide.
