Chicago, IL – December 4, 2024 – Angell, a global leader in advanced medical imaging technologies, is proud to showcase its innovative portfolio at the 110th Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting. Held from December 1-6, 2024, at McCormick Place, Chicago, this premier global forum for radiology professionals attracts more than 50,000 attendees from around the world, including radiologists, technologists, researchers, and industry leaders. This large scale not only reflects the global reach of the conference, but also provides participants with a diverse range of learning and collaboration opportunities.
Cutting-edge technology and product display
The exhibition brought together the most advanced equipment and solutions in the field of medical imaging, including digital radiology, CT, MRI, ultrasound, breast imaging, artificial intelligence (AI) assisted diagnosis, and comprehensively demonstrated the application of medical imaging in precision medicine.
Rich academic activities
RSNA offers more than 500 educational courses, including lectures, case studies, practical workshops and electronic exhibitions. Attendees can delve into the latest research advances, technology applications and industry trends in radiology.
Medical imaging experts, professors, doctors, and physicists have stopped by WR-3D (weight-bearing cone-beam three-dimensional tomography system) to discuss its unique three-dimensional imaging technology, how to innovate and realize 3D scanning and reconstruction of the whole spine and lower limbs under standing position, and its clinical value.
The WR-3D weight-bearing cone-beam three-dimensional imaging system uses X-ray tube and flat panel detector to carry out circular movement around the patient to realize data acquisition from different angles. The 3D reconstruction algorithm can reconstruct the 3D volume image of the patient's scanning site. Independently developed a number of core invention patents such as real-time geometric correction technology and adaptive iterative parameter calculation algorithm to ensure the image effect. One-round scan takes only 25 seconds and the dose is only 10% to 20% of that of conventional MSCT. On the basis of images, in order to better assist clinical diagnosis, the WR-3D system is equipped with a number of advanced automatic measurement technologies. It can complete automatic measurement of more than 50 bone and joint parts of the whole body, a variety of angle and distance information, and automatically output detailed measurement reports, which is convenient for clinical planning and treatment.
At the same time, the flexible mobile dynamic DR is another innovative work of Angell. It is equipped with the dynamic flat panel detector independently developed by Angell, so that the bedside inspection can be visualized. The unique digital dynamic radiography technology brings a new bedside radiography experience from 2D anatomical imaging to organ function imaging, effectively reducing the missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis of conventional digital X-ray radiography, so that the diagnosis is more accurate. It also adds a new dynamic imaging function to support dynamic perspective image acquisition in ICU, bedside, operating room and other scenes. Moreover, visualization technologies such as lung field area measurement, diaphragm tracking, visualization of ventilation function in lung field, and blood perfusion are expected to be realized, which can provide a variety of bedside quantitative diagnostic indicators and dynamic imaging information for the diagnosis and treatment evaluation of chest diseases such as COPD, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis, and pulmonary embolism.
The digital mammography has been praised for its ultra-high definition images. With nearly 13 million ultra-high pixels, it can clearly identify tiny calcification foci at the millimeter level. Compared with conventional radiography, the detection rate of micro calcifications and tumor increased by 70%. In order to make the inspection more efficient and convenient, it is equipped with a user-friendly convenient positioning design. When performing MLO positioning, the x-ray tube and the detector are not in the same position, which is convenient for the operator to quickly complete the positioning.
Dr. Han Zheng, CEO and R&D Director of Angell, stated, "RSNA is an excellent platform to showcase our technical strength and interact with global medical experts.
