Bedside and emergency portable dynamic radiography

Portable digital radiography that carries a complete dynamic imaging chain on a powered trolley — so the examination happens at the bedside, in the emergency department, the intensive care unit or the children's ward. It records a continuous sequence rather than one frozen frame, which lets the team see movement, confirm position live, and lift a high-definition still out of the run.

Lingxi Series Mobile Dynamic DR System

Angell's mobile dynamic DR platform: a self-developed dynamic imaging chain compact enough to move ward to ward, giving bedside teams live image sequences and high-definition stills from the same panel. Full specifications, clinical applications and functional imaging capability are on the product page.

One exposure, or the whole movement?

Every mobile unit can take a picture. The difference is how much of the examination that picture contains — and how much the team has to guess at.

Conventional mobile radiography

One frame

1 image captured

  • Anatomy is frozen at a single instant, chosen before the exposure.
  • Positioning is judged after the fact — a miss costs a second exposure.
  • Motion is invisible: breathing, diaphragm travel, anything advancing.
  • Structure only. The examination ends where the image begins.
  • Dose is spent on one look — and spent again on every repeat.

Mobile dynamic DR

Continuous sequence

Sequence captured · spot image selected

  • Anatomy is recorded in motion across a continuous low-dose run.
  • Position is confirmed live, before the frame that matters is taken.
  • Movement becomes readable — chest motion, joint motion, an instrument advancing — and can be replayed at the bedside.
  • A high-definition spot image is lifted straight out of the sequence.
  • Dose is held down by a high-sensitivity detector and a low-dose control mode, not by looking less.

Where a mobile system earns its place

The argument is always the same one: the patient stays put. Every transfer of an unstable patient carries clinical risk, ties up staff and holds a room open. A mobile dynamic DR unit removes the transfer from the equation.

Emergency Department

Trauma and chest imaging taken at the trolley, minutes after arrival, while triage is still running.

Intensive Care

Routine chest reviews for ventilated and monitored patients who cannot be safely moved off the unit.

Pediatrics & Neonatal

Short exposures for small patients, with the system brought to the cot rather than the other way round.

Orthopedic Wards

Bone and joint motion assessed dynamically at the bedside, plus follow-up views taken on the ward round.

The reason it fits on a trolley

Dynamic imaging normally needs a room to live in. Angell develops all three links of the imaging chain in house — which is what makes a compact, battery-powered version of it possible at all, and why the whole chain is tuned as one system rather than assembled from parts.

Dynamic flat-panel detector

Featuring a self-developed dynamic FPD, so one panel handles both the continuous run and the high-definition still pulled from it — with the sensitivity to keep that run low-dose.

X-ray tube

Featuring a self-developed tube with the power and heat capacity to work through a continuous list of bedside exposures, not just one or two.

High-voltage generator

Featuring a self-developed high-voltage generator that delivers that output from a compact, battery-backed body small enough to travel with the trolley.
